Amelia Walker
lectures in Creative Writing at the University of South Australia on Kaurna
Yerta (the lands of the Kaurna people). As a writer-researcher, she is
interested in methods and methodologies that use creative practices –
especially poetry – to raise subjugated knowledges and provide new insights
into social, cultural, political and ecological challenges of our times. Her
critically-creative and oft-collaborative publications appear in journals and
anthologies including New Writing, TEXT: Journal of Writing and
Writing Cultures, Axon: Creative Explorations, Geographies of
Gender-Based Violence, the Journal of Gender-Based Violence, the Journal of
Autoethnography, and Poetry and Sustainability in Education.
