Ananya
Dutta Gupta has been watching, and photographing
birds from her apartment window for over three years now. Her debut collection
of poetry, comprising eighty bird poems along with her doodles and photographs
and one long essay, was published by Birutjatio, a happening publishing society
based in Santiniketan, in September 2021. She has also published her poetry at Muse India and Gulmohar Quarterly. A poem of hers – ‘Howrah Junction’ – was one
among the 20 internationally selected entries for a commemorative volume titled
Global Conversations published by
CRASSH, Cambridge University, in December 2021. Her book has also featured on a
panel discussion at the recent Nabanna Earth Weekend, 2022.
