Dr.
Sonali Sarkar is Associate Professor, Kidderpore College, Kolkata. Dr. Sarkar
teaches English and Indian English Literature. She received her Ph.D from
University of Calcutta. Her doctoral thesis is on Alice Walker, the African American
writer. Her areas of interest are African American studies, translation
studies, postcolonial women’s writing, Dalit Studies and creative writing. She
has participated and presented papers at national and international seminars,
