Happiness Now

searched for it here,
I
searched for it there.
The man on his earning spree,
Found
it in a little boy,
Eating
sour fruits,
Discovered
on the neighbouring tree.
The
rich businessman,
In his
flight,
Saw it
in a farmer ploughing his land,
A
sublime sight.
The
dreamer found it in the achiever,
The
achiever found it in the dreamer.
It is
not found in millionaires’ kingdoms,
But in
simple fiefdoms.
It is
not here,
It is
not there.
Neither
the scientist can explain it,
Nor
the scholar,
Not
even Schopenhauer.
Happiness
is now,
In
life, avow!
Sorrows
and fears to intimidate,
Disallow!
I
searched for it everywhere,
I
found it in my own care.
