Dr.
Lakshmi Kannan has published
twenty-seven books till date that include poems, novels, short stories and
translations in English. Her recent books are Wooden Cow (2021), her
translation of the iconic Tamil writer T Janakiraman’s novel for his Centenary
Year; Sipping the Jasmine Moon, Poems (2019) and The Glass Bead
Curtain (2020 c2016). She was a Resident Writer at the International Writing
Program, Iowa, USA; a Charles Wallace Writer at the University of Kent,
Canterbury, UK; Sahitya Akademi Writer, Delhi; and Fellow, Indian Institute of
Advanced Study, Shimla. She worked in the faculty of English in several
universities.
