Darling Moggy

Eyes half-closed, I sensed

Our minds speak a tone,

The silent bond.

Ahhhhhhhh…

Sharing joy of the awakening.

Warmth is abundant, no questions asked.

You are there, always, and beautiful

Watching, blinking, eyes half-closed.

Like a shadow you are me, I am you.

We stride the days peacefully.

You are the quintessence of calm.

Warm fur of comfort!

Hugs of moggy feline and sly kisses!

Say you will stay forever;

Say with eyes half-closed.

I know, no questions asked,

No telling due.

It’s the calling from near and far, I hear.

Sniffing the scent of mine, you always know

Waiting for the signs of comfort.

No denying this moggy for sure.

Shower of love and rain of kisses

Much deserved.

Tested in sickness and health

Shying in the dark corners

And in the folds of curtains.

Silence is deafening

Mommy, sense a moggy

You and I shall shine no matter

Dark or bright

We remain the sun and rain

To shower eternal love and bask in rays of hope.

With this bond I fight the day, I come home a hero.

Say to me you love me too my sweet moggy, my beau.

Morning kisses, goodnight smooch

Shall never fail to greet my moggy.

It is you and me, forever we may.
