Ranu Uniyal is a bilingual
poet from Lucknow. She was awarded a Commonwealth scholarship for PhD in
English from Hull University, UK. She is Professor and Head Department of
English, University of Lucknow. Her major research interests
are Women and Literature, Disability Studies, and Postcolonial Studies.
Her academic publications include Women and Landscape:
The Fiction of Margaret Drabble and Anita Desai, Women in Indian Writing:
From Difference to Diversity, and a co-edited volume on Kanthapura. She has written four books of
poetry- Across the Divide (2006), December Poems (2012), The Day
We Went Strawberry Picking In Scarborough (2018) and Saeeda Ke Ghar (Hindi poems
2021). Her poems have been translated into Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi,
Oriya, German, Spanish, Uzbek, and Urdu languages. She also works for
