A graduate student from Miranda House, University of Delhi, Rupanjali
Verma has worked in the travel industry for several years at the Taj Man Singh,
Hyatt Regency and Le Meridian hotels at their travel desks. An animal activist,
she takes keen interest in the welfare of stray dogs and cats in her neighbourhood.
She feeds them and looks after their medical needs with the help of volunteers
and a committed vet. She has been passionate for this cause for over thirty
years. She is closely connected with People for Animals, an NGO run by Mrs
Maneka Gandhi.
