Screams
In
times like these
the
past
seems
larger than the present.
It
eats the future.
A
scream does not end.
It
trails across highroads of proud cities
from
east to west
from
west to east
under
a derisive saffron sun
in
search of food.
It
tramps across 157 kilometers
from
Jalna to Bhusaval
until
a cargo train severs
sixteen
detectable heads
their
rotis scatter on the railway
tracks
scream
louder.
