Sonority of the Brooks in Chhattisgarh



Yograj Verma, a Computer Engineering student of M M College of Technology, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India, has framed his lens on the bountiful beauty of the two important streams of his land, Kharun and Shivnath. He has captured the evening moments of Mahadev Ghat on the bank of Kharun River in Raipur and the Mohara Ghat on the bank of Shivnath River at Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh.

Kharun is an important River in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. It flows from the south-east of Durg district, 80 km northwards to a place named Somnath near Simga, the river falls into Shivnath.


Shivnath flows like an important life-line in rural Chhattisgarh, The origin of this river is in  642m high of Panabaras hill at Rajnandgaon. This river flows a distance of 40km northwards from its origin towards east to the border of the district in Shivrinarayan and finally meets the Mahanadi River.
